Unlike many holiday accommodations, Hen Cloud Cottages is supplied by water from our own on-site well.
The water is carefully pumped, filtered, and treated using ultraviolet (UV) technology to ensure it is clean, safe, and of excellent quality for our guests. By sourcing water directly from our land, we reduce reliance on large-scale infrastructure while maintaining a dependable supply for our cottages and guests.
We encourage sensible water use and are always looking at ways to improve efficiency without compromising comfort.
Responsible Waste Management
Off-Grid Wastewater Treatment
Our site operates with an off-grid wastewater system through a modern septic tank arrangement.
This means that everything that goes down sinks, showers, and toilets has a direct impact on the effectiveness of the system and the surrounding environment. For this reason, we ask guests to use only appropriate products and to avoid disposing of unsuitable materials down drains.
Managing wastewater responsibly helps protect local watercourses and ensures that our environmental footprint remains as small as possible.
